
More than two-thirds of American adults are overweight. It has become an important medical concern that is affecting our quality of life. Obesity puts us at risk for serious health conditions like high blood pressure, heart disease and diabetes. Excess weight can also strain our joints, and affect our mood, energy levels and ability to breathe.
We spoke with Ed Neuzil, Board Certified Advanced Practice Registered Nurse at Allergy Sinus & Asthma Family Health Center about how our weight and particularly excess belly fat raises our risk for developing chronic COPD.
